About

Retired national cybersecurity expert — I served as Chief Engineer for over 200 cybersecurity experts in a think tank that advises the federal government. As a senior advisor to many government agencies I was a primary architect of the Defense-in-Depth strategy that has been implemented throughout the U.S. military.

Published author — In additional to numerous technical papers, I published my first novel, No Outward Sign, in 2002. Nine conference planning groups bought my novel for over 1,200 attendees. Reader feedback: ” Engaging and compelling,” John Gilligan, Chief Information Officer, U.S. Air Force and “Read it in two sittings,” Charlie Sherupski, formerly Senior Information Security Officer, Central Intelligence Agency.

Keynote speaker — Based on personal experience and my unique approach to looking at topics from professional and humorous perspectives, I influenced audiences to look and think about specific topics in a way they may never have done before. Audience feedback: “Fantastic… I cannot recall when I have been so entertained and informed  at the same time.” and ” The most entertaining presentation I have ever attended.”

Radio and TV guest — While promoting my book, No Outward Sign, I was interviewed by the media. I heard buzz about it for a week afterwards.” Wayne Norman, WILI
